On Friday evening, I had the pleasure of participating in the Franklin Park Conservatory Bridal Show. It was an absolutely charming soiree put on by the lovely event coordinators of the conservatory, featuring more than thirty of Columbus' premier wedding and event professionals. The show was particularly special to me because I rarely participate in traditional bridal shows...but chose this one because of it's reputation for being an inspirational, upscale and relaxing experience for both brides and vendors. And it was truly everything I hoped it would be. I had so much fun casually chatting with the many couples who visited my booth, and loved hearing their adorable, refreshingly unexpected and distinctly personalized wedding inspirations for the coming year. For me, and hopefully for the brides who attended, the event was the perfect mid-winter refresher and a perfect way to spark excitement for the quickly approaching wedding season.
For those of you who were not able to visit me at the show and have asked to see what everything looked like...I have posted a few images for you to enjoy! Honestly, I had just as much fun designing the vintage-modern concept for the booth as I did at the event itself! I was inspired by the clean contrast of vintage milk glass (some hand-selected for the show, along with several vintage pieces from my Grandma and Great-Grandma's collections). I was especially drawn to the modern effect created when all the milk glass pieces were paired together. The delightful floral arrangements you see here were lovingly created by my good friends at Flowers on Orchard Lane in downtown Columbus. And one of my favorite personal touches were the vintage books used for displaying the floral arrangements at varying heights, with titles such as, "So Long as Love Remembers", "The Promise of Joy" and "A Thousand Splendid Summers". Happy sigh...
