Girls, let me just say...Big Rock Little Rooster ROCKS MY WORLD.  This Short North couture bridal salon is uniquely styled for the chic Midwest girl who craves couture, but wants it served with a smile.  I had been eyeing my new Short North neighbor ever since they moved in...always after hours...always with my face pressed against the glass, straining to see the delightful gowns from designers Vera Wang, Romona Keveza, Kenneth Pool, Christos, and Amy Michelson...displayed like sweet sugar crystal coated candies on hangers.

And then, one glorious morning...I went inside.

It was everything I hoped it would be.  And more.  It was dazzling.  It was magical.  I'm fairly certain I touched every single gown they have.  Did I mention it was magical?  Honestly, there's really nothing better than a couture wedding gown.  A couture wedding gown is almost reason enough to get married.  Now girls, I'm not condoning getting married just so you can wear an amazing gown.  I'm just saying, if you did...I would totally understand.

I digress.

Here is Big Rock Little Rooster...in all of it's loveliness.  I couldn't be more excited to welcome them to the Short North and am even more excited to share in an exciting new adventure with them soon (more news to come on that venture Monday!).  In the meantime, enjoy some eye candy and if you find yourself in need of an incredible gown or fabulous bridal accessories, stop on by and be sure to say hello from me!

My goodness! These images are stunning and truly convey the feeling of this incredible store. If I were a bride these days... I'd be in serious trouble with a store like this!

I wore Romona Keveza at my wedding 5 years ago, and I still think about my gorgeous dress! This store looks amazing- I might have to plan a vow renewal just so I have an excuse to shop there!

When Kasey with Bliss Wedding and Event Design was asked to design an editorial concept for the Fall issue of Bride and Bloom, I knew she was going to create absolute magic.  But seeing her "Fall Feathered Affair" come to life on that downtown rooftop was even more fabulous than I could have ever imagined!  It was an absolute joy working alongside the city's very best wedding vendors...their talent and creativity constantly amazes me.  And now, to see her creative vision, the impeccable talent of her hand-picked vendors and my photographs on the pages of the ever-so-lovely Bride and Bloom...it's just too much!  I was honored to be a part of something so special...and wanted to share my joy with all of you!

When portrait photographer, Lauryn Byrdy, asked me to photograph her for her new branding project...I was elated!  It's always a thrill when a fellow photographer trusts me with their portraiture!  Lauryn chose this lovely, dreamy setting at Whetstone Park of Roses and we had the most fabulous time romping in and around the lush landscape.  Lauryn's warm smile, charming personality and easy laughter absolutely lit up the otherwise cloudy evening sky.  It was a true pleasure working with and getting to know Lauryn...and I'm so very excited to follow her adventures in the world of photography!
